We believe you should know what therapy costs before you commit to anything. Here’s a clear breakdown of our session fees, what insurance we accept, and what to do if you have questions.
Fees are due at the time of service. We accept all major credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and cash. A credit card on file is required to hold your appointment.
Our graduate counseling interns offer therapy at a significantly reduced fee rate. Intern sessions are self-pay only (not covered by insurance) but are priced to improve accessibility. Contact us for current intern session rates.
Intern sessions are self-pay only. Insurance is not accepted for intern sessions. All interns are supervised by Aaron Potratz, LPC, an Oregon Board-approved supervisor.
Most of our licensed therapists accept insurance. We are in-network with many major plans. We recommend verifying your mental health benefits — specifically your copay, deductible, and out-of-pocket maximum — before your first session. Our admin team is happy to help.
Insurance plans vary by therapist. Not all clinicians are in-network with all plans listed. Please contact us to confirm your specific therapist’s insurance participation before scheduling.
Under the No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before receiving services. If you are uninsured or paying out-of-pocket, we will provide a written Good Faith Estimate prior to your first appointment. If you receive a bill more than $400 above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute it. For questions, contact us at contact@discovercounseling.com or (971) 222-8166.
