Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, family conflict, or a major life transition, therapy can provide a place to slow down, gain perspective, and move forward with greater confidence.
I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative, genuine, and tailored to each individual. Some sessions may focus on processing difficult experiences, while others are spent learning new skills, exploring patterns, or gaining a better understanding of yourself. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families. My clinical interests include ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, blended families, relationship concerns, supporting mothers experiencing stress or burnout, and working with athletes navigating the unique pressures of competition, performance, and balancing sport with everyday life.
My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and flexible. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them — helping build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. Therapy doesn’t always have to look the same. Sometimes growth comes through conversation, while other times it happens through creativity, curiosity, laughter, or simply feeling understood.
Outside of the counseling office, I’m raising both teenagers and young children, so I understand firsthand the joys and challenges of balancing family, work, and life’s many responsibilities. My family and I spend much of our free time in Central Oregon, at the volleyball gym, on the golf course, or enjoying the outdoors whenever we can.
Working with a counseling intern is similar to working with any therapist at Discover Counseling. You’ll meet regularly, establish goals, and work through challenges in a safe and confidential environment. Your intern receives regular supervision from a licensed clinician, adding an additional layer of professional oversight to your care.
If you’d like to learn more about whether working with an intern is right for you, reach out and we’ll be happy to answer your questions.
